Dec 8, 2008 Gifts with Stories: Talent Shop of Salvation Army It is astonishing to see how well the disabled workers master the SAORI hand-weaving machine, a technique originated in This is a social enterprise project under Salvation Army. The organization believes in artistic potentials of the disabled persons. Through the Talent Shop, Salvation Army transforms the creative arts of people with disabilities into innovative and marketable products whilst at the same time providing a training and work place for them. Over the years, they are encouraged to see that the shop not only generates income to the disabled, but also brings invaluable social impact. The shop enhances personal satisfaction and self-confidence of the disabled, enables them to enjoy a rich and satisfying life and step further to community inclusion.
